Joe Biden Celebrates Abortion, Calls Killing Babies in Abortions a “Constitutional Right”

via LifeNews.com June 29, 2020 at 07:26PM

Joe Biden does not support protections for women and he certainly does not support protections for unborn babies.

On Monday, he celebrated a U.S. Supreme Court decision striking down a Louisiana abortion law that would have protected women from shoddy abortion practices.

“Today’s decision reaffirmed that states can’t put in place laws that unduly burden a woman’s right to make her own health care decisions—but the fight isn’t over,” Biden wrote. “As President, I’ll codify Roe v. Wade and protect a woman’s constitutional right to choose.”

Biden claimed the law was “extreme,” but it actually had strong bi-partisan support. Its lead author is a pro-life Democrat woman, state Sen. Katrina Jackson. Passed in 2014, the law required abortionists to have hospital admitting privileges to treat patients with potentially life-threatening complications.

Though the state provided evidence of women being abandoned while suffering from abortion complications and abortion facilities failing to meet basic health and safety standards, the high court struck down the law Monday in June Medical Services v. Russo.

The majority ruled that the law was an “undue burden” on women’s access to abortion.

Biden, hoping to win the White House in November, promised to support abortion on demand.

“Women’s health care rights have been under attack as states across the country have passed extreme laws restricting women’s constitutional right to choice under any circumstance,” he said in a statement after the ruling. “As President, I will codify Roe v. Wade and my Justice Department will do everything in its power to stop the rash of state laws that so blatantly violate a woman’s protected, constitutional right to choose.”

He slammed pro-life Republicans for trying to “get rid of Roe” by passing pro-life laws that President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court justices will support. Both Trump’s nominees, Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, dissented from the majority opinion, along with fellow conservative Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito.

“It’s wrong. It’s pernicious. And, we have to stop it,” Biden insisted.

But Biden’s position on abortion better fits those descriptions. By supporting Roe v. Wade, he supports some of the most radical pro-abortion laws in the world. The 1972 ruling made the U.S. one of only seven countries in the world that allows elective abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy. It prevents states from passing even modest protections for unborn babies prior to viability, and, if Biden takes office, protections for unborn babies post-viability could go away, too.

Unlike most Americans, Biden also supports taxpayer-funded abortions. If he would succeed in this goal, tens of thousands more unborn babies could be slaughtered in abortions every year in America.

Evident by his praise of the Supreme Court decision Monday, Biden also opposes protections for women against shoddy abortion practices.

In his dissent, Justice Gorsuch said Louisiana lawmakers had good reasons to pass the admitting privileges law. He said they heard testimonies from women and emergency room physicians about abortion practitioners’ record of abandoning their patients.

One woman told lawmakers that the abortionist kicked her out while she was hemorrhaging, saying: “You’re on your own. Get out.” Later, at a hospital, an emergency room doctor found body parts from her aborted baby still inside her womb, according to the ruling. Another woman who complained of severe pain after her abortion said she was told to go home. But when she went to the emergency room, she said they found a tear in her uterus and “a large hematoma containing a fetal head.”

Gorsuch also pointed to new evidence of potential criminal conduct by state abortionists, including failing to report the rape of a minor and performing an abortion on a minor without parental consent.

The Louisiana law and others abortion clinic regulations protect women, and they protect unborn babies. But the abortion industry does not want to be accountable to anyone.

A Biden presidency would be bad for women and unborn babies. Ignoring vital protections for women and children, he is aligning himself with the interests of the billion-dollar, profit-driven abortion industry.

Vice President Mike Pence Slams Abortion: “All Lives Matter, Born and Unborn”

via LifeNews.com June 29, 2020 at 03:00PM

Vice President Mike Pence has spoken out in defense of unborn children. In an interview with CBS, the Vice President said: “As a pro-life American, I also believe that all life matters, born and unborn.”

During the interview with CBS, Mr Pence was discussing the violence caused as a result of the Black Lives Matter movement currently gripping America and the wider world.

When asked by news anchor, John Dickerson, if he would say ‘black lives matter’, Mr Pence replied:

“I really believe that all lives matter. And that’s where the heart of the American people lies… as a pro-life American, I also believe that all life matters, born and unborn.”

“No human was created to be degraded dehumanised or killed”

Vice President Mike Pence has an established pro-life reputation. During the 2019 March for Life, the US Vice President assured the crowd of the current American Administration’s opposition to abortion.

Commenting on Mr Pences’s pro-life remarks, SPUC Director of Communications, Michael Robinson said: “We commend the comments made by the Vice President and hope that his remarks can encourage and inspire other world leaders to take a stand and defend their most vulnerable citizens. From womb to tomb, the pro-life movement fights injustice, precisely because of our shared humanity.

“Mr Pence’s comments remind us that each individual life matters. Humans are unique, unrepeatable and have intrinsic worth and value. No human was created to be degraded, de-humanised or killed. All lives matter.”

Mr Robinson added: “The tragic death of George Floyd and for that matter racism, is an injustice. However, when we look at the organization, we can see that Black Lives Matter (BLM) does not include ALL black lives. As an organization BLM partners with institutions and politicians that advocate for abortion and other anti-family policies.”

“Promoting the dignity of human life from conception to death”

In recent years, President Trump’s administration has stated that “promoting the dignity of human life from conception to natural death is a top priority.”

During 2019, the Trump administration cancelled a contract with a company that provided human fetal tissue from elective abortions for research, and earlier this year Mr Trump withdrew funding to the World Health Organization (WHO) after their pro-abortion response to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Addressing the crowds at the Washington 2020 March for Life, the President said: “We are here for a very simple reason to defend the right of every child born and unborn to fulfill their God-given potential.

“As President of the United States of America I am truly proud to stand with you. It is your generation that is making America the pro-family pro-life nation. The life movement is led by strong women, amazing faith leaders and brave students who carry on the legacy of pioneers before us who fought to raise the conscience of our nation and uphold the rights of our citizens.”

Justice Clarence Thomas: Abortion is “Without a Shred of Support From the Constitution’s Text”

via LifeNews.com June 29, 2020 at 12:57PM

Over the years, Justice Clarence Thomas has become the most vocal Supreme Court member to remind his fellow jurists that there is no right to abortion in the Constitution. Today, as the nation’s highest court overturned a pro-life Louisiana law that saves babies from abortion and protects women’s health, Justice Thomas reminded his colleagues again that a so-called right to kill unborn children in abortions is simply not found in the text of the Constitution.

As LifeNews reported, Chief Justice John Roberts joined the four abortion advocates on the nation’s highest court to strike down the law. He said the high court is required to follow precedent in a prior Texas case that struck down a similar Texas law also requiring abortionists to have admitting privileges to care for women victimized by botched abortions.

In dissent, Justice Clarence Thomas wrote, “Today a majority of the Court perpetuates its ill-founded abortion jurisprudence by enjoining a perfectly legitimate state law and doing so without jurisdiction.”

“Our abortion precedents are grievously wrong and should be overruled,” he added, saying that the high court has “neither jurisdiction nor constitutional authority to declare Louisiana’s duly enacted law unconstitutional.”

Follow LifeNews.com on Instagram for pro-life pictures and videos.

Thomas’ dissent makes it clear that the abortion activists who brought the lawsuit didn’t even have standing to bring it, since petitioners who file lawsuits are supposed to bring such suits on their own behalf concerning their own abrogated rights or grievances, not on behalf of others.

Thomas made that problem clear: “As is often the case with legal challenges to abortion regulations, this suit was brought by abortionists and abortion clinics. Their sole claim before this Court is that Louisiana’s law violates the purported substantive due process right of a woman to abort her unborn child. But they concede that this right does not belong to them, and they seek to vindicate no private rights of their own. Under a proper understanding of Article III, these plaintiffs lack standing to invoke our jurisdiction.”

The venerable Supreme Court jurist then made it crystal clear that there is no right to abortion in the Constitution: “Those decisions created the right to abortion out of whole cloth, without a shred of support from the Constitution’s text. Our abortion precedents are grievously wrong and should be overruled.”

Newly obtained records indicate FDA purchased organs and tissue of aborted babies

via Live Action News June 28, 2020 at 02:28PM

Judicial Watch announced on Tuesday that it has received 165 pages of records from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) through a Freedom of Information request and lawsuit showing contracts between the FDA and Advanced Bioscience Resources (ABR) for the purchase of tissue from aborted babies. The watchdog group said the eight contracts, which were dated from 2012 to 2018, requested “fresh and never frozen” tissue from first and second-trimester aborted babies.

WARNING: Image below may be disturbing for readers.

“These documents are a horror show,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “These records show that the FDA was trafficking in human fetal parts. Incredibly, there continues to be a push to reopen these monstrous experiments!”

ABR is a fetal tissue procurement company that has been referred to the FBI for criminal charges regarding the illegal, for-profit trafficking of fetal body parts. The request for “fresh” bodies means that procurement technicians would have been on-site at the abortion businesses to obtain children immediately after they were killed in abortions.

The newly obtained records show an email exchange from June 2017 regarding the “purchase of tissues suitable for HM [humanized mice] research” with a request for a price quote for 16 human fetal livers and 16 human fetal thymuses along with 16 HIV, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C tests. The Statement of Work included in the email states:

The Division of Applied Regulatory Science (DARS) OCP/OTS/CDER is conducting a research program to evaluate the usefulness of humanized mice (HM) for regulatory purposes. The HM are created by surgical implantation of human tissue into mice that have multiple genetic mutations that block the development of the mouse immune system at a very early stage.

The absence of the mouse immune system allows the human tissues to grow and develop into functional human tissues. As part of this process DARS needs to repeatedly acquire the proper type of tissues. In order for the humanization to proceed correctly we need to obtain fetal tissue with a specific set of specialized characteristics.

READ: BOMBSHELL: Planned Parenthood officials admit under oath to selling aborted body parts

The “specialized characteristics” include that the tissue is fresh and that it be from the bodies of babies aborted between 16 and 24 weeks gestation. The email response from ABR states: “Your quote is attached.”

About a month later, in July 2017, an email from an FDA contracting specialist told ABR that “In order to properly document pricing, I require some documentation of your prices as offered to the public.” ABR responded that it does not have prices but attached a Fees for Services Schedule that lists “Fetal Cadaverous Specimen Procurement” with pricing for second-trimester aborted baby parts (13-24 weeks) and first-trimester body parts (8-12 weeks). The document includes “special processing/preservation” feeds for “specimen ‘cleaning,’” “snap freezing,” “passive freezing (dry ice),” and “foreign shipments.”

In July 2018, the FDA ordered the purchase of “humanized mice” from ABR beginning July 26, 2018, through July 25, 2019. That contract required securing 15 sets of second-trimester human fetal livers and thymuses.

In September 2018, the FDA ended the contract with ABR because “[T]he Government has concerns with the sufficiency of the sole-source justification.” That same month, the Department of Health and Human Services issued a statement that it was “conducting an audit of all acquisitions involving human fetal tissue to ensure conformity with procurement and human fetal tissue research laws and regulations.”

In addition to these documents, Judicial Watch was able to secure 676 pages of records from NIH detailing that this government agency had also paid for organs from aborted humans.

Be Not Wise in Your Own Eyes

via www.frcblog.com – Latest entries June 26, 2020 at 12:02PM

Like many other Christians around the world, I am realizing more and more that we are in strange and trying times, and it can be difficult to consider how to react to various situations. Whether it is the coronavirus, unrest about race relations, or recent Supreme Court decisions, there are so many issues that demand our attention and require us to think deeply about how Christians should respond.

In every season of violence, disease, death, and civil unrest, one passage of Scripture remains particularly relevant. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight.” Throughout history, believers have faced the violence of war, the scourge of disease, and civil and political unrest. We are not the first and we will not be the last.

In order to respond appropriately to the various situations we find ourselves in, we must seek wisdom. Wisdom is knowledge that is rightly applied to daily life. Wisdom is essential to honoring God with our lives and teaches us how to respond during the ever-changing times. The apostle Paul (the author of 1 Corinthians) gives us this encouragement: “For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.” But how do we discern what is wise? How do we evaluate our lives to identify where wisdom is needed?

Because wisdom is so essential to our daily lives and growth as Christians, there are several means by which we may grow in wisdom. First, God has given us His Word to teach us and guide us in the ways we should go. Second, we can ask the Father for wisdom directly through prayer. Third, we grow in wisdom by cultivating a humble spirit and learning to discern God’s voice.

When it comes to growing in wisdom, God’s Word is our greatest resource. Through it we learn about God’s character, attributes, and works. We also learn about ourselves, our sinful nature that separates us from a holy God, and how we can be reconciled to Him. In particular, the book of Proverbs is a collection of wise sayings that can help us order our lives. Proverbs 9:10 says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” A primary way that we show a healthy fear of the Lord is by reading and applying His Word to our lives. This year, Family Research Council began a two-year Bible reading plan called Stand on the Word. This is an opportunity to be held accountable to being in the word daily. It is easy to think that we can read one verse of Scripture a day and be spiritually full; however, wisdom calls us to spend time in God’s Word through meditation and memorization. Reading Scripture takes time because learning wisdom takes time and cannot be rushed.

God in His grace desires to have a personal relationship with all His children, and He invites us into this relationship through prayer. Prayer is a personal conversation with God that all believers are called to. We are called to praise God with thanksgiving in our hearts (Psalm 109:30), to confess and repent of our sins (I John 1:9), and to go to God with our needs and desires (Matthew 21:22). As we spend more time in God’s Word, we will also grow in our prayer life. James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given.” The prime example of this promise being fulfilled is in the life of King Solomon. Solomon prayed for wisdom and he was deemed the wisest man in his day (see I Kings 3).

Listen and Learn

While anyone can read the wisdom of the Bible, or pray to God for wisdom, the challenge comes in having a teachable spirit that not only seeks wisdom but applies it to their lives. Therefore, wisdom is applied knowledge. It can be easy to learn things, but we are called to listen carefully to God’s Word, be faithful in prayer, and courageously live out the knowledge that we have learned. In order to apply the work of wisdom in our lives, we must humble ourselves. This means being quick to listen and slow to speak (James 1:19). When we are students of the Word and faithful servants in prayer, we are better prepared to apply God’s wisdom during the trials and opposition that we face.

One practical way to actively grow in wisdom by incorporating all three of these principles is to join and become active in a local church. Unfortunately, many believers think they can grow spiritually by themselves; however, the Christian life is not meant to be walked alone. We need each other. The Apostle Paul teaches this throughout his writings, particularly in 1 Corinthians 12 and 14. Thus, we should seek to live in community with other believers who are also seeking to grow in wisdom.

Therefore, when we are faced with the difficult decisions or situations before us—like COVID-19, protests, and a bitter election season—and we do not know what to say, what to choose, or how to act, we must seek wisdom. Proverbs 4:7 says, “The beginning of wisdom is this: get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight.” Rather than spending our days worrying about all of the problems in the world that are beyond our control, let us seek Christ, who is wisdom incarnate, and allow Him to guide our steps.

Planned Parenthood sues leaders of anti-abortion ‘church’ services outside Spokane clinic – The Spokesman-Review

via “abortion” – Google News June 24, 2020 at 10:26PM

Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho is suing a group of anti-abortion protesters who lead frequent religious services outside the health care provider’s Spokane clinic, alleging the noisy demonstrations have interfered with treatment and intimidated patients and staff.

Attorneys filed the lawsuit Tuesday in Spokane County Superior Court against the group calling itself “The Church at Planned Parenthood,” or TCAPP. The named defendants include state Rep. Matt Shea; Covenant Church and Covenant Christian School; pastors Ken Peters, Gabe Blomgren and Seth Haberman; and Clay Roy, who is described as the director of TCAPP.

“These are not protesters – they are bullies who are trying to take away care from young women, men, the LGBTQ community and Black, Indigenous, people of color in Spokane,” Karl Eastlund, chief executive of the regional Planned Parenthood organization, said in a statement.

“Our health center is the principal provider of reproductive health care in Eastern Washington and North Idaho, and we see 10,000 patients annually who otherwise would not have access to the care that they need,” Eastlund said. “Enough is enough.”

The lawsuit seeks damages and a permanent injunction to stop TCAPP’s gatherings outside the clinic at 123 E. Indiana Ave., which sometimes draw several hundred people.

Since the gatherings began in 2018, Planned Parenthood has implored Spokane police to enforce the city’s noise ordinance as well as a state law banning disruptions of health care facilities. In March, the Spokane City Council voted 6-1 to adopt another city ordinance with the same effect as the state law, but Planned Parenthood alleges police have refused to enforce it.

“Patients who rely on Planned Parenthood for vital medical care have the same right as all Washingtonians to access health care without unreasonable disruption or interference,” Kim Clark, an attorney with Legal Voice, a firm focused on women’s and LGBTQ rights, said in a statement.

“This is more vital than ever in a global health pandemic that is disproportionately harming people of color – people who already face substantial obstacles to accessing health care,” Clark said. “TCAPP and its loud mob of angry protesters, many of whom carry guns, have terrorized patients and staff at Planned Parenthood long enough.”

Tuesday’s hourlong TCAPP demonstration drew about 200 people, plus several counterprotesters who spent most of their time on the other side of Indiana Avenue. As has become routine, police set up a bright orange barricade to corral the TCAPP followers in a green space outside the clinic.

The featured speaker was Joey Gibson, the founder of the far-right group Patriot Prayer, members of which have incited violence at public demonstrations. Gibson and five other men were indicted on felony rioting charges last summer following a brawl outside a Portland bar. One local member of another far-right group, the Proud Boys, stood near Gibson as he spoke.

Peters, who recently announced he’s leaving Spokane to bring TCAPP demonstrations to Planned Parenthood locations across the country, said Tuesday lawyers from the American Center for Law and Justice have agreed to defend TCAPP’s leaders from the lawsuit. The ACLJ is led by attorney Jay Sekulow, who helped lead President Donald Trump’s defense in the impeachment trial.

“We’re here to worship, pray, preach together. That’s all we do. We’re here to fight with spiritual weapons,” Peters told the crowd Tuesday. “They can try to keep us quiet with the sound ordinance, but they can’t stop us. So if we got to sing quiet, we’ll sing quiet. But we’re not going to stop singing. We’re not going to stop praising. We’re not going to stop.”

Replacing Peters at Covenant Church will be Shea, who did not file for re-election to his Spokane Valley House seat this year. The lawsuit notes that an independent investigation commissioned by the House last year found Shea engaged in domestic terrorism during an armed standoff at an Oregon wildlife refuge in 2016.

On Tuesday, Peters echoed Shea’s view that Christians are persecuted more than any other group.

“The most hated race in America is Christians right now. It really is,” Peters said to applause.

Peters also repeated his assertion that TCAPP demonstrations can’t disrupt the operations of the Planned Parenthood clinic because the gatherings now start around the clinic’s posted closing time.

“They’re not even open,” he said. “We start at 6 o’clock; they close at 6.”

Planned Parenthood says the clinic stops taking in walk-in patients at 6 p.m., but the last patients and employees typically leave around 7 p.m. The nonprofit says the demonstrations cause immense stress to patients and harm the productivity of employees, who park their cars in different locations or use different entrances and exits to avoid being confronted by TCAPP participants.

“Planned Parenthood clinicians report that the noise is obviously upsetting to patients. One medical assistant recalls taking care of a patient who, hearing the megaphone and the music outside, started crying in the middle of her exam,” the lawsuit states. “The staff ultimately had to move this patient, like many others, to another room. Moving a patient requires her to get dressed and undressed again. It also requires the patient to wait until there is another room available where the noise level is lower.”

Planned Parenthood says TCAPP’s mission is clearly to disrupt the operations of the clinic.

“If TCAPP protests were just about worship and not about disrupting the operations of the clinic, TCAPP could relocate to the opposite side of the street in front of the Salvation Army building, where there is more room for a large gathering and all involved would be safer,” the lawsuit states. “The Salvation Army has welcomed TCAPP, allowed TCAPP to use the public right of way along its building as well as its parking lot, and provided financial support to TCAPP.”

In March, when the City Council took up the ordinance banning disruptions at health care facilities, scores of TCAPP members and Planned Parenthood supporters filled the council chambers to debate the matter. The ordinance was approved after a tense meeting under heavy security from Spokane police.

“It does not impact free speech. Protests are still allowed. That’s not the issue. It’s about noise,” Councilwoman Lori Kinnear, the bill’s sponsor, said at the time.

The church’s members said the law unfairly targeted them, and Peters told the City Council it placed a “lightning rod over some of the city’s best people.”

Earlier this year, Spokane police Chief Craig Meidl told The Spokesman-Review the city’s legal department had advised police on what constitutes a violation of the law regarding noise at TCAPP demonstrations. Since September, Meidl said, the police department had assigned a captain to every demonstration to watch for violations and had, at that point, entered the facility on multiple occasions to assess the noise level.

“I have been assured by everyone who is there that they have been following the law,” Meidl told The Spokesman-Review in February.

In May, Capt. Dave Singley told The Spokesman-Review that officers lacked the training necessary to enforce the law because a session planned at Rutgers University had been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Planned Parenthood says the noise level from the TCAPP gatherings far exceeds limits established in the noise ordinance, routinely reaching between 90 and 100 decibels.

“Although there is a strong police presence at TCAPP protests, the police tend to stay on the side of the street with TCAPP and make conversation and smile and laugh with its participants,” the lawsuit states. “In fact, the perception among the staff at Planned Parenthood and TCAPP protesters alike is that the police are there to protect TCAPP.”

On Tuesday evening, police spokeswoman Julie Humphreys said city officials couldn’t immediately respond to the allegations in the lawsuit, but she insisted police have made an effort to enforce the noise restrictions.

“SPD has responded to every complaint about the noise and determined that there was not a violation of the noise ordinance,” she said.

Tennessee passes heartbeat bill prohibiting abortion for diagnosis of Downs syndrome and no exceptions for rape or incest – Christianity Daily

via “abortion” – Google News June 24, 2020 at 03:27PM

On Friday of June 19, Tennessee legislation passed a heartbeat bill banning abortions after the point a fetal heartbeat can be detected which is as early as six weeks.

After last-minute budget negotiations between the House and Senate on Thursday, the legislation passed the Senate 23-5 just after 12:30 a.m. on a party-line vote.

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee supported the legislation that also prohibits abortion in the following circumstances: if the doctor knows that the woman is seeking an abortion because of the child’s sex or race, if the doctor knows the woman is seeking an abortion due to a diagnosis of Downs syndrome, and if it is for juveniles in the custody of the Department of Children’s Services, including removing the current option to petition a judge for permission.

While there is an exception to the restrictions if a woman’s life is in danger, there will be no exceptions for rape or incest.

The legislation also requires abortion clinics to post a sign in the waiting room and in patient rooms informing people that it may be possible to reverse a chemical abortion and impose a fine of $10,000 for failing to do so.

Republicans in the legislature have said they hope the legislation will propel their anti-abortion fight to the U.S. Supreme Court.

“The Tennessee General Assembly’s passage of this dangerous, flat unconstitutional bill is unacceptable,” Hedy Weinberg, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Tennessee said.

“Lawmakers used this measure in a game of political maneuvering to pass the state budget–pushing it through without regard for the actual Tennesseans who will be denied access to the care they need, including abortion.”

Abortion rights organizations attempted to challenge the legislation as similar six-week bans have been struck down in Mississippi, Ohio, and other states.

Alveda King: Abortion Activists Don’t Speak for All Women, And They “Don’t Speak for Me”

via LifeNews.com June 24, 2020 at 01:03PM

“It is 2020 and women can speak for themselves” is a common theme in the mainstream media of today.

Nearly every time we turn on a television or scroll through social media, we are bombarded with this pro-feminist messaging. This year alone, there will be millions of dollars in political advertisement promoting this concept. Yet, the very same people are trying to say they speak for women in the Louisiana Unsafe Abortion Act case currently before the Supreme Court. Our answer is no, you do not.

Furthermore, this corrupt industry should not be pretending to advocate for the thousands of women it has so brutally hurt. How have we been hurt by the abortion industry? Bluntly, we had an abortion. We listened to the lies about how it was the best choice and not an infant life. We experienced the physical, emotional and spiritual consequences of our ‘choice.’

Today, we lead organizations that are dedicated to helping women who have experienced the devastation of abortion. One of our groups – Operation Outcry – collected more than 4,000 testimonies from women injured by abortion. The testimonies of these women are included in the organization’s recent Supreme Court amicus brief, which contains the world’s largest collection of sworn testimonies from women injured by abortion. The brief argues that the Louisiana Unsafe Abortion Act should be upheld.

Why should we allow any industry the right to sue on behalf of the parties it injures?

In 2007, the Supreme Court admitted that “some women come to regret aborting the infant life they once created and sustained. Severe depression and loss of esteem can follow.” The abortion industry does not tell women that abortion terminates not just a pregnancy, but a human life. Instead, it deceives and exploits women by saying it is a blob of tissue or a mass of cells. If one sought a professional’s advice on the most controversial issue in America today, one would expect a professional to explain both sides of that issue. Sadly, the abortion industry does not.

Follow LifeNews on the Parler social media network for the latest pro-life news!

Abortionists do not have relationships with their patients. The lie of the abortion industry is the decision is made “between a woman and her doctor.” Yet, the Louisiana case evidence showed the vast majority of women never see their abortionist until the abortion is being performed. Additionally, there is no regular aftercare. Injured women are simply offloaded to emergency rooms with no continuity of care.

These truths – which we sadly learned firsthand – are not disclosed to women. Instead, the abortion industry deceived us by minimizing the procedure and the life it ends. This illustrates the inherent conflict of interest between the abortion industry and the women it preys on.

But there is an alternative. Louisiana, as well as all 50 states, have new Safe Haven laws. Under these laws, any mother can transfer the care of her baby to the state – at no cost, with no obligation and no legal procedure. If a mother cannot take care of her child or does not want to, she can drop her baby off at the nearest hospital or fire station. This creates a compassionate and loving choice for women.

With problems such as infertility on the rise, sources estimate there are more than a million people waiting to adopt newborn infants. It is time to stop injuring women and killing our children. We can transfer the burden of care from mothers who may not be ready to those who are desperately waiting to adopt.

Throughout the legal proceedings for the Louisiana Unsafe Abortion Act case before the Court, the abortion industry has tried to claim it is speaking on behalf of women. We are but two women of thousands in the Operation Outcry and pro-life movements rising up to say at the top of our lungs, “the abortion industry does not speak for me!”
